Founded in 2001, 88 Keys was the first center to introduce Kindermusik to
Toronto area.
The first program was held in Richmond Hill and the center relocated to Leslie &
Hwy 7 in 2003 to accommodate the growing number of students. Today, 88 Keys
is Toronto's leader in early childhood music education specializing in Suzuki Piano and Kindermusik.
Our teaching staffs are full time music professionals and we continue to be involved in teacher training, early childhood workshops, Kindermusik conventions and Suzuki institutes.
Besides its main center, 88 Keys has entered into partnership with pre-schools and childcare centers. If you are looking for a chance to experience one of the top Kindermusik studios in Canada you’ve come to the right place!

Each educator required to complete 88 Keys in-house training program for a minimum of six months prior to teaching their own classes. They also attend quarterly workshops and seminars to upgrade their musicianship and teaching skills, as well as learning new and progressive ideas in early childhood development
Kindermusik
All of Kindermusik educators are certified in the Kindermusik Professional Training and all possess Bachelor of Music degree and they are chosen based on personality and/or characteristics.
Suzuki
All of Suzuki educators are certified in Suzuki Piano and all possess Bachelor of Music degree.

Group Piano Teacher
Candidates interested in a career as a Yamaha Music School teacher must pass the screening process and meet the current staffing needs of the school. Potential candidates will be invited for an audition/interview where they will be required to sing and play. The next step involves the teacher candidates successfully completing the Teacher Candidate Evaluation (TCE) - which consists of performance and written tests. Successful candidates will be invited to attend training at Yamaha Seminar A. This seminar is held semi-annually in Toronto. In addition to classroom activities, teachers will be involved in many activities and performance opportunities with their students such as concerts, festivals and exams.
Skills required for a Yamaha Music School teacher:
· strong playing/sight reading
· sing confidently & in pitch while playing
· dynamic classroom manner
· strong music fundamentals (sense of pitch, rhythm, harmony)
· musical creativity (improvisation, composition)
· versatility (various styles)
· good knowledge of theory and harmony
· familiarity with electronic keyboards

Pre-School Music Teacher
We are looking for a music teacher for Kindermusik program.
You will be teaching classes of up to 10 students. A variety of classes are offered to children age 0 to 7 years old. All lesson plans and training will be provided.
We are looking for individuals who are excellent communicators, organized and effective group leaders, enthusiastic, energetic and inspirational with groups of young children.
Our ideal candidate has experience working with children, has the ability to move expressively to music and has good vocal abilities.
You need to be willing to work flexible hours from Tuesday to Saturday.
Vocal training and/or music ability would be considered an advantage.
We offers fun, enriching music programs for babies to age 7 that encourage and promote self-expression and social growth in small, supportive, age-appropriate classes.
